Macarons

I'm wondering under which stone I have been lying and for how long. Apparently macarons (or macaroons if it's all the same to you) are the new treat. What ever site I hit, they're there. And I can't remember ever having one. Oh..another need to go shopping.

Seafoam

I have this thing for seafoam green things lately.

First things first

Today was spent doing almost nothing. Hanging about. Watching the telly for a bit. Having a nap. Making plans for one of my miniature sceneries, or shadowboxes. Which meant making plans to go to a DIY shop one of these days to buy a chisel or a gouger (the previous owner of this particular shadowbox has added a weird block in front of the fireplace that needs to go). And foam-board for another shadowbox. I can't build a Georgian window with shutters and window-seat and so on without foam-board; I need it to create the recess. See?

And then I emailed with someone about genealogy and little additions my family tree (2575 souls and growing), phoned with a friend, all the while contemplating doing some shopping but never actually getting round to it. Yes, supermarkets are open on Sundays here since a few months. And, forgive the pun, what a bless! Not really really really having to do your shopping, or at least all of it, on Saturday makes the have-to-do and nice-to-do or like-to-do things more evenly spread between Saturdays and Sundays. I was supposed to get lettuce (special offer on 2 bags), fizzy soda drinks and breakfast bars. Not the kind you pull your seat up to but the low carb diet ones. Since I still have the shake mix powder (yuck..) and a punnet of strawberries (yes not aloud within a low carb diet but still having them) I'm not going to starve tomorrow morning. I just miss the diet soda. I'm one of those people that's always thirsty (and no I'm not a diabetic) and not having something cold to drink around makes me irritable. Just the thought of not being able to run to the fridge and get a cold soda... So I really have to go and make ice tea or something in a minute. But I also created this blog today and first things first: my first entry.
So there you have it: I'm a miniature loving gene detecting overweight neurotic lazy lass. But oh so lovable ;-)
